PROFILE

Ms. Zulu is the Executive Director of Kampara Group Holdings, a Durban-based company formed through the merger of Kampara Industries and AV South Africa. Specializing in construction and manufacturing, the Kampara Group benefits from Ms. Zulu’s over 22 years of industry expertise. Under her leadership, the company has successfully managed multi-million-dollar projects across South Africa and the African continent. Ms. Zulu holds key roles, including National Chairperson of BRICS Women’s Business Alliance South Africa, Chief Executive of Kokozu International (Private) Limited, and Chairs the Africa Women’s Bank (Private) Limited and the International Relations portfolio of the Black Business Council. As the 2023 Global Chairperson of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance, she spearheaded the implementation of the alliance’s strategy, resulting in significant economic advancements, including securing partnerships worth $2.7 billion and creating 120,000 new jobs for South African women entrepreneurs.

Ms. Zulu’s academic background includes a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters Construction Management. Throughout her corporate journey, she has held pivotal positions such as Power Station Manager in Training at Duvha Power Station and International Trading Operations Manager for the Eskom Transmission Group.

Her leadership extends to various committees, including Cluster Management, Risk Management, Procurement, and Finance and Investment.

Among her notable achievements, Ms. Zulu was selected as a trustee in the BWA/MTN Brains Trust Programme, representing the energy and mining sector in South Africa. She has received prestigious awards, including the 2021 CIDB ERWIC award for Transformation Entity of the Year and the Innovative Entity of the Year, the Chairman’s Award as well as being a finalist in the Vision 2030 awards in 2019 and winning the 2019 16th Standard Bank Top Women Awards, among others. She has been recognized in publications such as the Impumelelo Top Empowerment Magazine, the 2019 Leadership Focus magazine, and lauded as a trailblazer in the September 2019 edition of City Press.
