PROFILE

Due to her business and academic commitments, Ms. Ipeleng Mkhari is desirous to continue serving as an Executive Member of BRICS Women’s Business Alliance South Africa. Ms. Mkhari is a pioneering entrepreneur, she established the first black woman owned CCTV business and subsequently founded Motseng Investment Holdings (MIH) a diversified investment holdings group in 1998.In 2007, Ipeleng became the National chairperson of the Women’s Property Network. During her tenure she spearheaded the vision to introduce a diverse membership base, a mentorship programme and the education trust which supports educating marginalised women in the industry. In 2018/19 she served as the SAPOA President.

Ipeleng has served on various boards of unlisted and listed businesses, public sector agencies and non-profit organisations. She is currently a non-executive director of Attacq*, KAP Industrial*, Re vego and South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA). She is also a trustee of the Women’s Property Network Education Trust.

Qualifications: Bachelor Social Science, Nat. Diploma – IMM Marketing, has completed The Executive Development Programme at Wits Business School and is an Archbishop Tutu Fellow.

Achievements: Ipeleng is passionate about the development and ascension of women in business and has been an ambassador of various women’s business organizations. During her 21-year career. Ipeleng has been named the: Cosmopolitan Mover of the Year in 2007, named one of CEO magazines Most Influential Women in Business in 2008; Pioneer Woman of the Year Award by Forbes Woman Africa in 2015; In 2016 she was awarded the Standard Bank Top Woman in Property Award;
