BRICS Annual Workshop Executive and Chairpersons of All Working Groups at Courtyard Hotel, Midrand – 11 June 2022
The BRICS WBA executive recently held a workshop with all the executive and working group chairpersons to address the progress of activities and plans.
More than 45 businesswomen across the country participated online and in person to meet, introduce and update one another on the work of BRICS WBA since inception in October 2022.
The executive thanks all the women who participated passionately for their engagement. We look forward to the second workshop in August 2022.

Launch of BWBA-SA Agri-Business Plan of Action
Expose Hunger for economic participation by Women and Smallholder rural farmers. Hunger for value chain knowledge and platforms to access information about both domestic and international markets
Announce launch of the Umgibe Agri-Biz Hub, a mobile agriculture value chain training facility designed to offer women and smallholder farmers within KZN Province on Technical Knowhow: seedbank processes, seedlings and composting; Market Access, Knowhow: market quality and standards; compliance and regulations; logistics; and packaging requirements; Business Management: business development, financing, risks and insurance.

The roundtable aims to bring stakeholders in the development of a sustainable domestic tourism market together to deliberate on
Adopting a social tourism as a strategy for the recovery of the tourism and hospitality sector by introducing a new target group that fall outside of the marketing demographics;
Creating means to stimulate off-peak domestic breaks and day visits for low-income families, volunteers, and disadvantaged young people by offering subsidised tourism experiences;
The development and rehabilitation of government owned/subsidised social tourism infrastructure, and
Strengthening solidarity between tourism, related sectors, and host communities.
